She was born in Blain to the late George L. and Elsie Mae (Berrier) Mumper.
A homemaker for most of her life, she also worked at the former Mount Joy Handkerchief Factory; was a member for more than 73 years of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Mount Joy, where she sang in the choir and was a board member, and Trinity Bible Sunday school class and Ladies Aid; volunteered at the Mennonite Home; was an accomplished seamstress; and enjoyed crossword puzzles and games.
She was the widow of Norman Mateer, who died in 1975, and John Zeager, who died in 1996.
Surviving are two sons, Denny D. of Lancaster and James R. of Mount Gretna; a brother, George E. Mumper of Mount Joy; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 3 in the Orevile Chapel of the Mennonite Home with the Revs. Kirk B. Wolf and Jerry Berrier and chaplain Dorcas Martzall officiating. Burial was in Mount Joy Cemetery.
