Mr. Charles E. Chism, a retired farmer of the Wolf Creek community, died Jan. 29, 1960 after several months of illness.
Mr. Chism was born May 16, 1878 and was 81 years of age at the time of his death. His wife preceded him in death.
He is survived by 2 sons, Charles J. Chism of Brandenburg and Wilmer Chism of Wolf Creek, 4 daughters, Mrs. Joe Curl of Louisville, Mrs. Sherley Chism and Mrs. Roberta Rodgers of Brandenburg, and Mrs. W.O. Kroush of Wolf Creek; one sister, Mrs. Jessie Jackson and one brother, Leo Chism, both of Louisville.
Funeral services for Mr. Chism were held at 2:00 p.m. Mon. Feb. 1, in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, with Rev. Van Buren Keys, the minister in charge. Burial was in the Parr Cemetery. Pallbearers were Cecil Stiff, Monroe Troutman, Wayne Johnston, W.A. Chism, Prock Chism, and J.R. Chism (Meade Co Messenger)
