OPHELIA ALEXANDER
Mrs. Ophelia Berry Alexander, wife of James Alexander, passed away Sunday morning at 5 o'clock at her home at Moss Run, after an extended illness with anemia. Mrs. Alexander was born in New England, Athens County, on March 27, 1860, and was therefore past 57 years of age. She had resided at Moss Run for 15 years and made many friends who will regret to hear of her death. She was a member of the Moss Run Congregational Church. For a number of years she was the superintendent of the Sunday School of that church. Besides her husband the deceased is survived by three children, Misses Hope and Glenn, who reside at home, and Ford Alexander, of Taft, California. One sister, Mrs. Viola M. Racer, of this city, and two brothers, Warren Berry, of this city, and Ed Berry, of Whittier, California also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Moss Run Congregational Church. Rev. L. L. Cherrington will officiate and burial will be made in the Moss Run Cemetery.
