PROCTOR STEPHEN Passed away suddenly in Petaluma, CA on February 25, 2003. Devoted husband of Sandy Proctor of Petaluma, CA. and loving father of Jeffrey and Stephanie Proctor. Cherished son of Della Proctor of Castro Valley, CA. Dear son- in-law of Bod and Elaine Alpern. Beloved brother of George Lessa, Doug Lessa, and John Proctor. Beloved brother in law of Lynn Lessa, Debbie Lessa, Stephanie Proctor, Bob and Judy Kaplan. Loving uncle of Doug Lessa, Todd Lessa, Mitchell Martinez, Natash Proctor, Paul Proctor, Stephen Proctor, Jennifer Kaplan and Alexandra Kaplan. Stephen was born July 15, 1955 in Castro Valley, CA. He attended Castro Valley High School, graduated from Cal State University, Hayward with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, and graduated from the University of Maryland with a Master degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for Cisco Systems, Inc. in Petaluma, CA. Ste- phen's career included working for the Natio nal Bureau of Standards in Washington, DC, Westinghouse Corporation in Baltimore, MD, and Hewlett-Packard in Palo Alto, CA. before joining Cisco Systems, Inc. Stephen was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). Stephen's interests included spending time with his family, attending concerts, playing guitar, chess, soccer, golf, and bowling. Stephen liked to spend his spare time discussing politics, attending anti-war-protests, and listening to the Grateful Dead. He was also a member of the US Chess Federation and participated in several tournaments. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 11:00 AM at the Neptune Society of Northern California, 2607 Santa Rosa Ave., Santa Rosa, CA. Family and friends are encouraged to attend a reception immediately after the memorial service at the Sheraton Hotel in Petaluma, CA. (745 Baywood Drive, Petaluma). Arrangements were made under the direction of the Neptune Society of Northern CA.
