Henry A. Sechrest, 87, 1616 Cedar, Lawrenceville, died about 5:30 p.m. Friday, Aug 3, 2001, in United Methiodist Village, Lawrenceville

Born April 14, 1914, in Birds, he was a son of Maurice and Bessie McKibben Sechrest . He was retired from Texaco Refinery and a member of Island Free Methodist Church, He was a member of the Illinois National Gueards during World War II.

He was married to Mary Sue Cessna Sechrest and she preceded him in death. Four sisters and five brothers also preceded him in death,

Survivors include two sons Arthur Sechrest, Bloomington, and Dean Sechrest, Bridgeport,; a brother Merton Sechrest Lawrenceville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug 7 at Cunningham Funeral Home, Bridgeport, with burial in Petty Cemetery. The Rev Arnold Delmeter will officiate.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today, Monday at the funeral home.
