DEATH OF JACOB MANDERSCHEID
A message was received Friday by Ed Manderscheid and his brother and sisters informing them of the death of their father Jacob Manderscheid at Santa Anna, California, resulting from being struck by a Street car. Saturday afternoon Ed and his two sisters, Emma Beaver and Cora Miller left for Santa Ana; and their brother George who resides in Pawnee County joined them at Kinsley.

Jacob Manderscheid came with his family to Pawnee County in 1884 and resided there until moving to California five years ago. The family lived about 3 miles from Santa Ana. He was 60 years of age on the 9th day of last March. Mrs. Manderscheid Died at Santa Ana about three years ago. There are seven children; Ed J. Sam, Mrs. John D. Beaver, Mrs. Geo. E. Miller, George, Alfred and Miss Clara Manderscheid. Mr. Manderscheid had been fairly successful in life, and was enjoying every comfort and convenience in his California home when the accident befell him. His untimely death yes sad news to the many who were his friends and neighbors in Pawnee County and the western part of this county.
