Had Been Ill for a Long Time
Finally Succumbs Sunday At Midnight

Mrs. Creech, 70, died at her home in (illegible), Sunday night at 12 o'clock after a long and protracted illness.
The former Amanda Forsythe, daughter of P. J. and Amanda Forsythe, she was born near Dean, and spent all but four years of life in Appanoose county.
Before her marriage she taught in the Appanoose county schools. In 1885 she united in marriage with William Creech, and to this union several children were born.
A strong church member, she took an active interest in church work, as long as her health permitted, and was noted for her strong devotion to her convictions.
The couple lived on a farm near the Miller Baptist church until 1921, at that time moving to Moravia.
In death she is survived by her husband and three children. They are Reverend Oscar Creech, Chapworth, Illinois, James Creech of Keswick, Iowa, and Mrs. Shiflet of Webster. Two step daughters, Mrs. Lela Sellers of Colorado, and Mrs. Edna (Williams?) of Numa, are other survivors.
Among others are seven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, Mrs. Ada Adams of Exline, Mrs. Oliver of Moulton, William Forsythe of Quinland, Oklahoma, James and Jefferson Forsythe on a farm near Dean, and (?) a farm near Moulton.
Funeral services will be conducted at the United Brethren church at Moravia at 1:00 o'clock Wednesday with the Rev. Floyd Dorris of the Unionville Baptist church officiating, assisted by Rev. George Talbott of Moravia. Burial will be at Eaton cemetery beside the graves of her two daugters who died in the 1920's. The body is at Swaim funeral home at the present time.

Services were held Thursday (sic) for the late Mrs. Will Creech, in the Moravia United Brethren church, Floyd Dorris, pastor of the Unionville Baptist church officiated, assisted by the local United Brethren pastor, George Talbott.
Musicians: Mrs. Ulmont Main, Mrs. Elva Hawk, Forrest Main and Ben Jones, who sang hymns selected by Mrs. Creech some time ago. Pianist, Mrs. Charles Coffin. Bearers were nephews: Wm. Hutchinson, Lester Hutchinson, William and Lawrence Oliver and Bernard Forsythe, all of Moulton, Nathan Adams of Exline.
The three children and their families were here. The Rev. Oscar Creech, Mrs. Creech and children, Myrtle and Billy, came from Chatworth, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. James Creech and son Bernard, from Keswick; Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Shiflet, Webster.
Three brothers from Moulton: Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Forsythe, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Forsythe and J. B. Forsythe. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Oliver (a sister) and children, Ada, Alta, Emma, Lawrence and William, and Mrs. Enid Wallace of Moulton, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Adams, Numa; Mrs. Adeline Adams and son Nathan and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Knott of Exline.
Other out-of-town relatives: Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Long, Mrs. Paul Long and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wilkins of Webster; Mrs. Pearl Wood, Unionville; Mrs. Lula Koehler, Unionville, Mrs. Hiram Bailey and Mrs. Floyd Dorris of Unionville. From Moulton: Mr. and Mrs. Ursal Kirby and family, Mr. and Mrs. Will Hutchinson, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hutchinson, Joe Hutchinson, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Sleeth, Mrs. Clara Hartley.
