Doris Byrd Burnett, 68, died Tuesday at Holiday Retirement Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cate-Spencer & Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Fluitt officiating, assisted by Eddie Messer. Burial will be in the Palava Cemetery.
She was born in Palava, was a homemaker and a member of the Fourth and Elm Street Church of Christ.
She was the widow of Odis Burnett.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Burnett and Carol Burnett, both of Sweetwater; a brother, W. E. "Shorty" Byrd of Sweetwater; grandsons, Brook Burnett, Burt Burnett and Blake Burnett, all three of Sweetwater.
