Mrs. Blanche O. Cowan, wife of L. Scott Cowan, farmer living near Crawfordsville, died on Monday morning at eight o'clock at the Home hospital in Lafayette, following an operation which was per-formed recently. Complications which set in were responsible for her death. The deceased had been ill for several months.
Mrs. Cowan was one of the most active church workers in her community, being a member of the Robert's Chapel church, and at the time of her death was president of the ladies aid society of that church.
Surviving are the husband, four children, Byron, Walter Marion, Margaret Ethelyn, and Rebecca Ellen, a babe of two months; two sisters; Mrs. Virgil Merritt of this city and Mrs. Ralph Crowder of Waukegan, Ill.; three brothers, L. W. Olin of this city, L. H. Olin of South Bend and Leland E. Olin of Crawfordsville.
Funeral services will be held at the Robert's Chapel church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial In the Oakland cemetery near Elmdale.
