Avery Lamb passed to the great beyond October 29, 1910 at Leavenworth, Kans. Mr. Lamb was born November 3, 1839. He came to Galena in 1877 where he engaged in bakery business until ill health interfered. He was married to MIss Emily Webb who was born 1849 and preceded her companion to spirit life in 1904. Mr. Lamb was a Union soldier and a member of the G.A.R. of Galena. enlisted in the 22d Colorado, Company A. Canyon City, Col. and honorably discharged at Ft. Leavenworth. Kans.

The deceased leaves a family of five boys and two daughters. Two sons are at Lead, S. D., Clarence Lamb and family are here from New Mexico. A.C. Lamb, Wentworth Mo., and Charles Lamb of Galena. Two daughters, Mrs. Lola Mayfield of Hollis Okla., and Mrs. Emma Clover, 816 Elm St. A sister Mrs. Lucy Eagers, Seattle Wash., and a brother, Chas Lamb of Galena, are the near relatives of Comrade Lamb.

The service was held at the residence of Mrs. Clover. Rev. Sarah Seovell of the first
Spiritualist church officiated. The Christian Church choir sang several appropriate hymns.

Burial was made at Oak Hill Cemetery
