Services for Estelle Chandler Knighton, 91, will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2003 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel with Rev. J. R. Hearron officiating. Burial will follow in Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18, 2003 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel.

Mrs. Knighton died Monday, June 16, 2003 in Bossier City, LA. She was born in Hurricane, LA and was a resident of Bossier City, LA. Mrs. Knighton had been self-employed since 1955. Working as a beauty operator, she retired at the age of 83. Mrs. Knighton was the oldest active member of the ABWA.

Survivors are her sons, William L. Knighton, Jr. and wife, Sara of Shreveport, Bob J. Knighton and wife, Beth of Shreveport and Richard L. Knighton, Sr. and wife, Linda of Bossier City, twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris Knighton, Randy Knighton, Richard Knighton, Jr., David Knighton, Larry Knighton and Russ Knighton.

Special thanks to the staffs of Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home and Willis Knighton in Bossier City for their special care.
