Born Adele Maria Grazia Albano in Bagheria,Italy. Youngest of nine children.
Lived to see the birth of her 5 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren .
Descendant of Arbëreshë people thru her father . Arrived on Ellis Island with her mother via the Sicilian Prince on May 15th 1905 . She was 8yrd old .Settled with her family in NYC . Her mother died in 1911 . After death of her mother she dropout of grammar school and went to work in NYC Garment district. She was raised by her eldest sister Rose . Met Bill Rubano and started dating before he was drafted into the Army for WWI . At the time she was living at 502 East 189th St in Bronx . They married April 27,1918 and settled in the Bronx to raise two daughters . Adele returned to work in the garment industry during the Great Depression and rose to level of manager before early retirement. Widowed in 1960 . In 1968 remarried to widower Frank Guarino .
