Husband of Tema S. Withers (1879-1955);

Jacob Henry Withers, aged 77, of Petersburg, died of a heart ailment at 1:30 pm Monday at his residence. He had been ill 1 1/2/years.

He was born Oct 22, 1875 in Boardman. He was a retired farmer and insurance agent and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church at Boardman. He had been a junior and senior warden of the church.

Mr Withers was a lifelong member of the Mahoning County Farm Bureau, and had been on the Springfield Township board of education for 16 years. He was secretary of the Mahoning County Federal Land Bank.

Besides his wife, the former Tema Schiller, whom he married in 1903, he leaves three sons, Henry of Poland, Howard of Petersburg and Russell of Salem; 12 grandchildren and a brother, George of Youngstown.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday in the church. Friends may call at the Williams Funeral Home in Canfield tomorrow evening.
