Frank Adams and bride returned from their wedding trip last Monday and will settle down to married life in true regulation style by starting into housekeeping at Capitol City.

November 12, 1891, Pg 4, Col. 2
Frank Adams came down town last Friday, the first time for several weeks. In fact the first time since he got married. Frank says he has been doing considerable work on his mines about Capitol City, devoting special attention to the Excelsior.

Obituary from Lake City Times, May 19, 1892, page 1, reads:
"DIED
At Capitol City, Saturday night, May 14, 1892, Mattie, wife of B.F.H. Adams, aged 20 years. Services were held at the Presbyterian Church Monday afternoon (May 16), the funeral being preached by Rev. J.R. Cooper. A large number of friends at Capitol City and this place (Lake City) attended the services, and accompanied the remains to their last resting place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. The sorrowing parents and brother and sister as well as the bereaved husband, have the sympathy of the whole community in this their sad hour of trouble."

Card of Thanks
Mr. Frank Adams and Mr. & Mrs. F.A. Couraud desire to return thanks to the friends who so kindly aided them in their recent bereavement by the death of Mrs. Frank Adams.

Larry Pace photographed Matilda's grave marker and it reads:
"Matilda Wife of B.F.H Adams Died May 14, 1892 Aged 20 years"

The large marble white stone marker is about four feet tall, with the top area inscribed with flowers and a bell. The top was broken off and missing (1980's?) At the bottom of the large stone it read "Made by N.Niblo Olney, Ohio" The grave marker is located south of the Hoffman Plot, south of center east to west road. There are two plots just to the south of this grave that are covered at one end with rocks. One of those graves is Matilda's father Francois Couraud who died after Matilda in 1897. Ruth Couraud Mattsen and her husband Richard placed concrete flat head stones on his grave and Suzeena Richards Guionneau. They etched their names in the concrete, a welcome and generous act, authorized by the cemetery and historical society.
