He was born April 5, 1910, to Neil and Jennie (Goodwin) Cozart at Wenatchee. He was raised and attended school in Entiat, graduating from high school in 1929. He then attended diesel engineering school in Seattle for two years.
Mr. Cozart returned to Wenatchee and worked for E.T. Pybus as a welder and worked on the construction of the Knapp's Hill tunnel. He succeeded his father as ranch foreman of the Keystone Fruit Co. in Entiat in 1936.
He married Bertha Wise in 1939 in Wenatchee. They moved to McFarland, Calif., in 1940, where he raised cotton. They moved to Chelan in 1961, where Mr. Cozart worked for the Lake Chelan Boat Co. as a pilot and was supervisor and construction engineer for the building of the Lady of the Lake II.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters, Judith Ann Westbrook of Spokane and Jeanette Cozart of Puyallup; two brothers, Harold of Chelan and Bill of Sweet Home, Ore.; a sister, Kay of Reno, Nev.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.
