State of Ohio Personally appearance of Elias Pegg who being sworn that he was
in the service of the Revolutionary War on the which he believes was in the
year 1778 during which time he was well acquainted with Obadiah Wilson who was
then a soldier in the same army and that he well believes that the said Obadiah
Wilson was enlisted for three years during the war. and that he belonged to the
eighth regiment of Pennsylvania commanded by Col. Broadhead and this deponent
further believes that from what he has always understood that the said Wilson
served out his time and was honorably discharged. Signed Elias Pegg

who official acts as such full faith and credit is and ought to be given

Judicial Circuit of the State of Ohio, Elias Pegg who made and subscribed the
deposition hereunto announced of lawful age and by me duly cautioned and sworn
in addition to or explanation of his aforesaid deposition now testifies I that
to his personal knowledge he said Obadiah Wilson did serve in the army of the
revolution in the continental establishment for the period of minimum with
upwards in the eighth regiment of Pennsylvania and for the further particulars
he now makes reference to his afore said deposition 29 day of Jan 1821

According to our family records, Elias Pegg was born in 1755/56 in Wheeling,
West Virginia. He was married to Elizabeth Onsettler in 1839. I have no
additional information on her at all.
