Sergeant in Lexington Alarm, April, 1775; Sergeant in Brewer's Massachusetts Regiment, April to December, 177.5; 2d Lieutenant 6th Continental Infantry, 1st January, 1776; 1st Lieutenant, 28th June, 1776; 1st Lieutenant 7th Massachusetts, 1st January, 1777; taken prisoner at Cherry Valley, 10th November, 1778, and was a prisoner when retired, 1st January, 1781.
