BECK
Mrs. Barbara Beck, widow of the late Henry Beck, died at 9 o'clock Sunday night at the family residence, 1313 Rockhill street. Death was due to the infirmities of old age and occurred at the age of 86 years, eight months and fourteen days. The deceased was born in Germany and came to Fort Wayne in 1852 from Buffalo over the old Erie canal. Her husband preceded her in death fourteen years ago. Surviving relatives include the following children: William Beck, Mrs. Wm. Young, Mrs. Fred Koeppenhoefer, Mrs. Fred Willroth. Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. The deceased was the oldest member of the St. John's Lutheran church and of the Ladies Aid society of that congregation.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the residence and at 2 o'clock from St. John's Lutheran church. Interment at St. John's cemetery. Friends are requested to kindly omit flowers.
