He was co-owner with his brother Glen of Nelson Bros. Florist in Trotwood, Ohio. He is survived by mother, Clara Amanda Nelson; wife, Emma Lucille Nelson (Smith), daughters and son-in-law; Karen & Dale Kelly; and Kathleen Burton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was a Sgt. in the US Army during WWII.
