Obituary for Mrs. Emma Norsworthy from the "Dallas Morning News" on October 28, 1961, Section 1, P. 5.

"Mrs Norsworthy, Leader In Mission Projects, Dies - Mrs. C. L. Norsworthy, 76, of 4539 Westway, active for many years in Dallas civic organizations, died Friday morning in a Dallas hospital.
Mrs. Norsworthy was the daughter of Hedwig and G.H. Schoellkopf, early Southwestern industrialist family. She was educated at St. Mary's College in Dallas and studied in Switzerland. On July 8, 1913, she married Dallas jeweler, C. L. Norsworthy, who died in 1933.
She was an active member of the Gaston Avenue Baptist Church and did extensive work as chairman of the Home Ministry Committee until 1956. She was honored by her church in 1959 for her long record of visiting the aged and ill, driving them to hospitals and doctor's offices and quietly meeting the financial needs of many.
She had provided full support for a number of foreign missionaries and had opened her home for many church functions. Mrs. Norsworthy was also a leader in the Dallas Woman's Club, the Marianne Scruggs Garden Club and the Three Arts Club.
Survivors, all of Dallas, are three sons, C. L. Norsworthy Jr., George H. Norsworthy and Thomas Norsworthy; one sister Mrs. G. O. Moore; one brother, Hugo W. Schoellkopf; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Gaston Avenue Baptist Church, 4024 Gaston, with Dr. Harold Basden Officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James F. Chambers Jr., James M. Moroney Jr., Richard Phelan, J.Fred Schoellkopf, Wilson Schoellkopf, Hugo W. Schoellkopf Jr. and Pat Rutherford."
