DENNIS RAY PINKERTON, age 71, died at his residence of natural causes under the care of Hospice.
A native of Willa Branch, WV and a local resident since 2002 when he moved here from Lincolnton, NC, he was a retired security officer for Ferrum College in Ferrum, VA, a Protestant and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Dennie is survived by his wife Charlotte, 2 sons Steven R. (Linda) Kelly of Brighton, MI and Dennie R. Jr. of Clermont, FL, 2 daughters Diana Lynn of Roanoke, VA and Andelena of South Portland, ME, 4 brothers, Cletis (Muriel) of Easton, MD, Joey (Debbie) of Ferrum, VA, Jerry (Charlene) and Ronnie (Peggy) all of Cedar Bluff, VA, 2 sisters Linda (Jack) Crosier of Matthews, NC and Peggy (Roy) Greer of Ferrum, VA and 9 grandchildren.
