Jeanette Charge, 85, of Pittston Township, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at home.
Born in Hughestown on September 8, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Yocche Litz. She attended Hughestown schools. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the local garment industry. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Charge, in 1979; a sister, Madeline Moss, and a brother, Anthony Litz.
Surviving are her daughter, Janet Boughton, with whom she resided; grandchildren Jude, Michelle, Jennifer and Erin Boughton; sisters Helen Michalec, Pittston, and Anna Healey, Pittston Township; brother George Litz, Cresco, Pa.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 25, 2008, at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittston. Those attending the funeral Mass are asked to go directly to the church on Friday morning. Interment will be in Pittston Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, July 24, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 802 Susquehanna Ave., West Pittston.
