Marion Russel Allcock/Allcox/Alcott was the son of William Asbury Allcock/Allcox/Alcott & Anna Mathitable Ray. He was married first to Millie Scott and she & baby Myron Alcott died in childbirth and are buried in Carstairs, Alberta, Canada. Marion married second to Helen Luetta Henkle, and went to Hubbard Co., MN where Marion worked in a logging camp on East Crooked Lake. Their son Harold Ellis Alcott was born in the logging camp at East Crooked Lake. They removed to Garrison, Benton Co., IA, where Lillian Luetta Alcott was born. They had three more children while living in Garrison, IA and they were: Ruby Faye, Alfred Mearl, who was stillborn, & Florence Evelyn Alcott. Helen Alcott died young from heart problems when Harold was 20 years old. Marion married third, Mabel Elizabeth Hale. They had no child together. Mabel had been married twice before. First to Harry Bern by whom she had, Russell Harry Bern, and she married second to J. Boyd Atchison by whom she had, Howard Atchison, Elizabeth Atchison, & Herbert Atchison. Marion died from cancer in 1959. Mabel had a stroke and went to live in Methwick Manor in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was force to sell their home to pay for her care.
