Mrs. William Ahlsweed, Buried From M. E. Church Here Sunday Afternoon Dies After Short Illness
Mrs. William Ahlsweed, and old resident of the county, died at her home in the town of Lincoln last Thursday after an illness of but a short duration. The deceasd's maiden name was Martha Grunwaldt, and she was born in Pomerania, Germany in 1859. In her early girlhood she come to America and settled in the city, then the village of Wolf River, where she was united to marriage to William Ahlsweed, who moved with his young wife into the town of Lincoln and settled upon a farm. To this union were born three children, who, with her husband, survive her. Mrs. Ahlsweed has for years been a member of the Baptist church. The funeral was held from th M. E. church of the city Sunday afternoon, Rev. J. J. Gelling officiation. Interment took place at the Busch cemetery.
