CLARK, MARY FRANCES BREWER, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2003. She was born in 1911 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late John Thomas and Mary Wells Brewer. Mrs. Clark was a resident of Vestavia Hills before moving to Mt. Royal Towers. She was a member of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church, former member of Southside Baptist Church and was a past member of The Womens Club House and Salvation Army Auxiliary. She received her 25 year pin for volunteer work at UAB Hospital. Her husband, Luther Jackson Clark, Sr. and son Marvin Edward Clark preceeded her in death. Survivors include her daughter, Bettye C. Watson (Jim) of Vestavia Hills; son, L. Jack Clark. Jr. Jerry) of Gautier, MS; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Her grave side service will be Saturday, January 25, 2003 at 11:00 a.m., at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 until service time at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the building fund at Vestavia Hills Baptist. Ridout's Elmwood Chapel, 205-251-7227, is directing.
