Funeral rites were conducted by the Rev. J.M. Holland at City Cemetery this afternoon for J.T. Brewer, 53, who died at six o’clock Wednesday at his home in Ensley. The body arrived in Decatur by rail early this afternoon and was immediately conveyed to the cemetery chapel. Brown directed interment.
Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Everett Lee and Mrs. Luther Clark; three sons, John Jr, Joseph and Ernest, all of Ensley; three sisters, Mrs. H.H. Jones, Mrs. L.A. Kelly and Mrs. J.W. Pettey, Decatur; one brother, Edgar Brewer, of Fayetteville, Ark.
Mr. Brewer made his home in Decatur for a number of years but removed to Ensley several years ago where he had since resided. He enjoyed a large friendship here and his passing was the cause of deep regret.
