Jeanette Mary (Patton) Eagan was born in Milwaukee WI. January 21, 1846. Her parents imigrated to Milwaukee from Glaskow. Miss Patton was united in marriage June 12, 1865 to John Eagen Sr. of Detroit, Michigan. God blessed this happy union with eleven children, of whom nine survive and twenty two grandchildren. For several years they resided in Pardeeville, but upon the demise of her husband Mrs. Eagan moved to the old homestead a short distance south of the village where she lived her alloted time with her two youngest children and granchild.
Possessing a mother's kindness and patience and disposition ever contenther death is a sorrowful one to those who knew and love her. Respected and honored by her friends aquaintances and neighbors she leaves many to regret her departure.
Funeral services were held from St. Mary's Church last Monday at nine o'clock Reverand Koester rector having charge of the services. Interment was in the Rocky Run Cemetery. Acting in capacity of Pall bearers were John Moran, A.S. Riley, Chas. Hughes Sr., Walter Purves, Anton Abraham and Lloyd Jones.
