My Grandad Elvie Sr. Maynard was Born in 1909 In Wayne County West Virginia, Married to Rebbecca Rice Maynard,Had 9 Children .Elvie Maynard Jr.,Bill Maynard ,Kenneth Maynard,Denvil Maynard,Darlene Maynard,Edith Maynard,Maybell Maynard,Dorthey Maynard,and their Youngest son My dad Sonnie Maynard.My grandpa Elvie Maynard sr. Had some brothers Their Names were Charles Maynard,Jay Maynard ,and Sonnie Maynard ,and a couple sisters Carrie Maynard,Mary Maynard. My grandad went on a Fishing trip with his 2 sons one day to the Jetties in Jacksonville,Florida,The 2 sons He went fishing with that day were Kenneth Maynard ,and my Dad Sonnie Maynard his youngest son.They went all the way out on the rocks at the Jetties and were haveing a good day fishing,But then the Tide came in fast with a strong Current,And the waves came crashing over the rocks ,and pulled him Elvie Maynard sr.,Kenneth Maynard,And Sonnie Maynard my dad into the current,and Kenneth Maynard And Elvie Maynard Sr. My Grandpa and Uncle Ken ,Drowned.My dad Sonnie Maynard was the only Survivor In this Tragic accident,and was pulled in by the Coast Gaurd soon After.And My grandad's Body Was Found Soon After and Uncle Kens Body Found the Next day washed Ashore.My dad was the Only Survivor in this Tragic Accident.But he Joined Them Both in Heaven in the Year of 2011 when he passed away.They are all Gone But never Forgotten!!!!I miss them All,,But wish I could Have known My Uncle Ken,And Denvil,and all the rest of my Aunts in Uncles I did Not Know,for they Passed before I was Born.God Bless them all we Shall all meet One day
