Bessie Mitchell married James Thomas (Tom) Holt, Jr. on 24 Jun 1900, and they had the following childern: Grace, Thelma, and Helen.

Mrs. Bessie Holt managed her large ranch up until a week before she passed away. She worked with the Soil Conservation and won many awards for her work with the Soil Bank on her ranch.

Survived by two daughters; one grandson; one grand daughter.
