Harriet was the 5th of thirteen children of Francis and Sarah O'Neill, who lived at least a good part of their lives in Chester County. Both Francis and Sarah are also buried in the Great Valley Baptist Cemetery.

HARRIET / wife of / Henry Potter / DIED / January 27th 1871 / aged 64 years 6 months / and 25 days.
The Epitaph on Harriet's tombstone (As compiled by the Treyffrin Easttown History Club between 1942 and 1967) reads:
"No more thy soothing voice our anguish cheers.
Thy placid eyes with smiles, no longer glow.
Our hopes to cherish, and allay our fears.
'Tis met that we should ---our tears."
