He lived all except 6 years of his life at the place where he was born. He had been in failing health for a number of years.
On Dec 24, 1905, he was married to Lovina Buehler, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons (Urias and Delton, of Alanson), 2 sisters (Mrs Jess Brubacher and Mrs Henry Martin, of Pa), 10 grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. A niece (Maudie - Mrs Donald Preibe), and a nephew (Clyde Kilmer) who were taken into their home when small children, made their home with them until they were married. Two children preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Maple River Mennonite Church of near Brutus, Mich. Funeral services were held March 25 at the Maple River Church with Earl Hartman in charge and Clyde Kauffman assisting. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.
