American Revolutionary War teamster, D.A.R.
Father of Abraham Fluck born 1779.
Grandfather of Henry Stover Fluck.

John Fluck, II date of death

I'm not sure that a change to the date of death (dod) for John Fluck should be made - it would only confuse people. However, it is incorrect on the stone. His stone appears to be newer in both style and wear than his wife's stone, Dorothea. John Fluck is my 5th GGF. While researching John I obtained copies of the court probate records. One record stood out. It was submitted to the Court by Dorothea. It reads:
"This is to certify that it is my request & desire that George McKinney of Hopewell township in the County of Bedford Pa. should Administer on the estate of John Fluck him late of Hopewell township deceased as witness my hand the 27th day of November AD 1832. Dorothy (her mark) Fluck Widow of John Fluck 2 dec'd"
… So, John actually died before 27 November 1832. I've yet to find a researcher who has used a dod other than that which appears on the stone... Sincerely, John Fluke
