Mr. Thomas Bevis, aged 79 years, a well known citizen of Northumberland, died of paralysis at the home of his son, Mr. W. R. Bevis, at Avalon Sunday morning (May 12). Burial was at Corinth by the side of his wife Monday afternoon, Rev. A. J. Reamey officiating. Mr. Bevis is survived by four children; W. R. Bevis of Avalon, Mrs. Rosa Pugh of Downing, Mrs. Sadie Smith and Dave Bevis of Wilmington DE. Mr. Bevis was a member of Coan Baptist church.
