Anna Mae Klingenberger, one of ten children born to Thomas Benton and Effie Vorden Durham Hayes, was born October 11, 1906, at Republic County Kansas and passed away at her home in Superior December 28, 1989, at the age of 73 years, 2 months and 7 days.Anna has lived most of her life in Superior. December 22, 1926, she was united in marriage to Cecil Klingenberger at Nelson. To this union five children were born.Anna was preceded in death by both her parents; an infant son, Irvin, who was a twin to Ivan; a grandson, Rex Klingenberger; two brothers, Phil and William Hayes; and a sister, Hattie.She was a loving, devoted, wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband, Cecil; her son, Ivan, of Denver, Colorado; three daughters, Mrs. Willaim (sic) Morehead (Eilene) of Nelson, Mrs. Bob Trueblood (Marie) of Superior and Mrs. Iver Carlson (Roberta) of Klackley, Kansas; four brothers, Albert of Rexford, Kansas, Sam of Bostwick, Charles of Grand Island and Tom of Green Bay, Wisconsin; two sisters, Mrs. A.H. Bencken (Bertha) of Guide Rock and Mrs. Herman Webber (Nione) of Inavale; nine-grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services were Monday afternoon, December 31, 1979, from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior with the Rev.
