James W. Ashman was a farmer and had lived all his life in Amelia,Va. He was driving a tractor on Grub Hill Church Road and was accidently hit by a vehicle and didn't survive the accident. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Ashman and son Paul Ashman of Bartlett, Kansas, and two daughters, Grace Easter , of Amelia, and Myra of Mt.Pocono, Pa.; four brothers, Craig, George, Samuel (his twin) of Amelia, and Lewis of Richmond; three sisters, Rachel Bowlin,of Amelia, Anne Merchant and Lily Mae Byrd of Richmond and his parents Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ashman,Sr. and five grandchildren.
