Mr. Gum retired after 30 years of service with General Motors' parts division. He was a veteran of the United States Marines and was a longtime resident of North Richland Hills. He enjoyed woodworking and painting landscapes.
Survivors: Wife of 49 years, Nancy Gum; daughter, Michelle Chamblee and her husband, Darryl, of North Richland Hills; son, Eric Gum and his wife, Holly, of Azle; and grandchildren, Cassandra, Andrea, Bryce and Garrett.
