Mrs. Lucille Griffith was born on February 7, 1936 and departed this life on August 4, 2008 at the age of 72 years, 5 months, and 27 days.
She had been a resident of Pulaski County for 11 years, and was a former resident of Leslie & Laurel County. She was the daughter of the late John Turner and the late Maude Adams.
By occupation, she was a homemaker. Some of her hobbies included singing and flower and vegetable gardening. She was also affiliated with the Holiness Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Giles Joseph, Sr. ;sister: Alma Turner; step-sons: Lawrence Joseph, Jr., and Ross Griffith; one sister: Hazel Perry; step-daughters: Aileen Feltner and Marie Clark.
Mrs. Lucille Griffith leaves surviving the following relatives: one son: Giles Joseph, Jr. & Eileen of Eubank, KY; three step-sons: Reason Joseph & Mae of Yeaddiss, KY, Eddie Lee Joseph of London, KY, and Lloyd Griffith & Doris of Hyden, KY; one daughter: Carolyn Wells & Roger of Hazard, KY; two step-daughters: Tilda Mae Rucinski of Florida, and Christine Joseph of Hyden, KY; one brother: Jack Turner of Flemingsburg, KY; one sister: Daisy Gross & Morgan of Yeaddiss, KY; three grandchildren: Adrian Shepherd,Crystal Shepherd, & Donovan Asher. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Joseph Griffith were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008 at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, KY.
Visitation was at 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel. There was also visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Full Gospel Church Saturday morning & continuing until the hour of the funeral at 2:00 P.M.
Burial took place at the Full Gospel Church Cemetery at Smilax, KY., under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff. .
