Ben Bullard came to Texas from South Carolina in 1872. He applied for a Confederate pension but his application was rejected. "Uncle Ben" Bullard, 83, died at the home of P. P. Walker, and was buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Survivors included his daughter, Nancy J. (Mrs. Pearl P.) Walker.
