Earl L. Cantrill, 73, of 1039 38th Ave., East Moline, died Friday, June 3, 1994, at Illini Hospital, Silvis.
Services are at 1 p.m. Monday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. A private burial is in the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, at a later date.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time on Monday. Memorials may be made to the Quad-Cities Chapter of
Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association.
Mr. Cantrill was born Sept. 14, 1920, in Orangeville, Ill., the son of Earl and Amy Anderson Cantrill. He married Donna Holtzinger on Oct. 6, 1972, in Edwardsville, Ill.
He was employed as an office supervisor at the Rock Island Railroad, Silvis branch, for 38 years, retiring in 1981. He was also a school bus driver for seven years at United Township High School.
He was a World War II Army veteran and an investigator for the Army Counter Intelligence Corp.
He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Moline.
He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include the widow; daughters, Candy Armstrong, Milan, and Denise Layton, Moline; sons, Jeff Cantrill, Rock Island, Mark Cantrill, Moline, Devin Howard, Davenport, and Dennis Howard, Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Neal, Moline.
His brother, Donald Cantrill, died on Oct. 4, 1993.
