IN MEMORIAM
Spry Adkins was born Dec. 17, 1892, died March 23, 1930; age at time of death 37 years, 3 months and 6 days. His death came as a shock to his relatives and friends. He was sick only a few days. He leaves to mourn his going a wife and four children. They are: Agnes, Wynona, Donald and Leonard. He also leaves an aged mother, Mrs. Doss Adkins and three brothers and five sisters. They are: Sam and Ben Adkins, of Hager, and William Adkins, of Smiths Ferry, Pa. The sisters are: Mrs. Bill Adkins and Mrs. Ada Smith, of Smiths Ferry, Mrs. Tina Honaker, of Hager, Mary Skeens, of Wayne county, WVa, and Mrs. Neva Coffee of Ky. He leaves a host of other relatives and friends. He was formerly of this county, but for the last twelve years he has been employed at the steel mills in Pennsylvania. He was a loving husband and father, and a friend to all who knew him. The funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon by the Revs. E.L. Adkins and Ebb Cummings and the body was laid to rest in the Adkins cemetery on Big Laurel.

A precious one from us is gone, A voice we loved is still; A vacant place in our heart, That never can be filled.
