Mrs. Carrie Pond, Here 15 Years, Dies
Mrs. Carrie Pond, 88, of the Anna B. Millikin Home, died at 6:15 a.m. today in Decatur and Macon County Hospital.
Mrs. Pond moved to Decatur from Meredosia 15 years ago. She was a member of the Meredosia Methodist Church.
She was born near Bethany, Ohio, March 2, 1871, a daughter of George W. and Athelinda Booker (sic Athalinda Bucher) Simpson and was married Aug. 31, 1891 to Truman C. Pond in Morgan County, Ill.
She leaves two daughter, Mrs. Nita Irving and Mrs. Carolyn Mosley, both of Decatur; two sons, Boyd Pond, Tuscola, and George D. Pond, Peoria; a brother, M. L. Simpson, Berlin, Ill., nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Two sons, a daughter and one brother preceeded her in death.
The body is at the Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home. Arrangement are incomplete. Burial will be in Berlin Cemetery, Berlin."

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. CARRIE POND, 88
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home for Mrs. Carrie Pond, 88, resident of the Anna B. Millikin Home, who died at 6:15 a.m. yesterday in Decatur and Macon County Hospital.
Burial will be in Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Ill. Friends may call at the funeral home at 4 p.m. today.
