ABRAHAM BAUGHMAN, Esq., a life-long resident of Richland County, died of apoplexy at his late residence in Monroe Township last Monday morning. Mr. Baughman was fifty-eight years of age at the time of his death. During his life he resided on the farm his father entered from the government in the early history of the county. He was married to Eliza Wigton and by her had five children, all of whom survive. Mr. Baughman has filled positions of trust during his life time. For many years he was a Justice of the Peace, and was a member of the State Board of Legislation in 1870, and was a candidate for Representative in 1877. He was a strong, unfaltering Democrat and his death will be regretted by many.
