Died at her home in Niantic, Thursday April 21, 1904, Rose E. Delaney. She was born July 28, 1872, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs, Patrick Graham and grew to woman hood on the home farm near Niantic. She attended Niantic high school, was for some time a student of Springfield Ursuline convent, afterward graduating from Decatur Business College. She was loved by all who knew her. The tears of sorrowing friends at hr funeral obsequies bore testimony of this and the sight of the motherless children touched every heart. There was never a more pathetic funeral in our town. On April 27, 1892, she was married in the Church of Visitation, Illiopolis, to Lawrence Delaney. To them were born seven children, all of whom survive her. They are: Jennie, James, Rose, Leo, Russell, Bernard and Hugh. She also leaves her mother, five sisters and three brothers.
The married life of Mr. & Mrs. Delaney was an exceptionally harmonious one, and the bereaved husband has the sympathy of the entire community in the loss of the faithful wife and loving mother.
Interment was at Calvary cemetery, Illiopolis.
