James Brown was born to George Brown(1750-1840) and Mary Glass(1756-1810) on Aug 22, 1776 in Pennsylvania.
He married Hannah Harbison(1775-1848)in 1797 in Butler County, Pennsylvania.
They would make their home and raise their children in Middlesex Township. They had 11 children together: twins Capt. Robert and Mary, Margaret, Hannah, Ruth, Sarha Ann, Eleanor, James Glass, Martha, Rachel and Lydia.
James died at the age of 83 on Sept.18, 1859 in Middlesex Township and is laid to rest along side his wife of 51 years Hannah, in Middlesex Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 116 Church Rd Butler, PA. Phone: 724-586-7096.
