Of Box 344, Duncansville RD 1, was dead on arrival at Mercy Hospital at 1:36 p.m. yesterday, June 13, 1977. Mr. Helsel retired Nov. 1, 1971, from the Penn Central as a pipefitter. He was born in Langdondale, a son of James and Minnie (Browell) Helsel, and married Martha V. Brubaker on Sept. 1, 1928, in Cumberland Md. Surviving are his wife, two children, Gene of Carson Valley and Mrs. Janice of Martinsburg RD; six grandchildren, and four brothers and sisters, Mrs. Ethel Imler, Mrs. Dorothy Brubaker and Ellsworth of Duncansville RD, and Edward of Altoona. Mr. Helsel was a member of the Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren and Logan Lodge, F&AM. Friends will be received in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville.
