Mr. Helsel, 71, of Box 481, Carson Valley, Duncansville RD 1, died at 10:52 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 1985, in Mercy Hospital. Mr. Helsel retired from Forsht Dairy, Duncansville, in 1975. He had also worked in the Juniata shops of the Pennsylvania Railroad and was custodian at the Allegheny No. 2 school for 22 years. He was born Feb. 10, 1914, in Duncansville, the son of James and Minnie Browell Helsel, and May 15, 1937, in Duncansville married Hazel May Brubaker. Surviving are his wife, five children: Alys Shaw of East Freedom RD, Dale of Hollidaysburg, and Galen, Lilly Nofsker, and Alma Smith of Duncansville RD; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Dorothy Brubaker of Duncansville RD. Mr. Helsel was a member of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, where he served as a trustee. Friends will be received Tuesday at the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville. Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery.
