MARY PATRICIA ASHLEY
was born in Massena, Nov. 6
1950, daughter of Albert and Leona
(Robinson) Ashley. She
was a junior in Massena Central
High School.

Mary Patricia Ashley, 16, of
of 22 Brighton St., funeral services,
will be Wednesday morning
at 10 o'clock at St. John's Episcopal
Church, and the body Will
be placed in Pine Grove Vault.
The body is at the Phillips Memorial
Home.

A three-car accident on the
Potsdam-Massena Road early
Easter Sunday took the lives
of six young people from Norwood,
Massena, and Cornwall,
Ont.

State Police said the accident
occured at 12:15 a.m.
Sunday on Route 56 in the
Town of Louisville. The LaFleur
auto was travelling
south when it struck the rear
of an auto operated by William
Van Kennen, 48 N. Main
St., Norwood, and skidded into
the path of an auto operated
by Joseph Maston, 21, 41 Howard
St., Massena.
The LaFleur and Maston
autos were totally demolished,
while the Van Kennen auto
was not damaged

Joseph H. Maston, 21 had been home for
the past several weeks. He had
a date in Potsdam Saturday
night, and his cousin, Mary
Patricia Ashley and her friend,
Anne Jamie Tricase, both 16,
went to Potsdam with him.
They were returning to Massena
at the time and happened to be in the exact
spot when the
LaFleur driven machine went
into the south lane of the two lane
highway.State Police labeled the
cause of the accident as speed
too fast for conditions and
failure to keep right.

Maston's mother and Miss
Ashley's mother are sisters, the
former Hilda and Leona Robinson.
