Mr. Ewart retired from DuPont after 31 years where he was a supervisor. He was a member of the James LeRoy Belk American Legion Post 17 and the Christian Community Ministries in Camden. He was a founding member of Morningside Presbyterian Church and received Lay Person of The Year in 2002. He enjoyed old cars and woodworking.
He was predeceased by brothers, James Knox Ewart Jr., and William Cameron Ewart; and sister, Lois Ewart Addison.
