Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: 3 p.m. in Hall Cemetery, Lone Oak. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Bonnita, the daughter of Robert Lester White and Mary Ellen Boydston White, was born Jan. 5, 1921, in Hunt County. She married Jim Bob Willis on Dec. 24, 1940, in Lone Oak. Bonnita had made her home in Fort Worth for the majority of her life and retired after many years of service with J.C. Penney.
She devoted her life to service for her family, church and community. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Haltom City, where she served her church family very faithfully for many years. She was very active in the community prior to a disabling stroke which resulted in many hospital and rehab stays. Her most recent residence was The Heritage House Residential Care Home in Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 19, 1993; parents; and sisters, Joyce White and Valiree Weatherly.
Survivors: Son, Robert Fred Willis and wife, Terri; grandchildren, Lina Willis and Jeff Willis, both of Watauga; sisters, Donnie Sikes, Jean Green and Frances White; brothers, Thurman White and Gary White, all of Greenville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
