William Harold Stoneking, 50, of 435 N. White St., died at Phelps Hospital Thursday evening after an illness of one year. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Chapel. The Rev. Harris Stuermer will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Mr. Stoneking, son of Jesse and Ada Wingo Stoneking, was born Aug. 8, 1907 at Macomb. He lived at Birmingham and Rock Island before returning to Macomb to reside. He was married Sept. 2, 1937 to Twila Robinson, who survives. Also surviving are a brother, Bennie Stoneking of Dubuque, Iowa and five sisters, Vera Darland of Rock Island, Herma Willey of Sciota, Zela Caker of Industry, Elizabeth Frakes of Macomb, and Evelyn Robinson of East Moline.
